Transfer: Akintola joins Omonia FC on two-year contract

Cypriot club Omonia FC have announced the signing of Nigerian winger David Akintola, DAILY POST reports.

Akintola joined the Shamrock following the termination of his contract with Premier League club Hull City.

The 30-year-old, who will wear jersey number eight, put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

The pacy winger returns to Omonia for a second stint, having previously played for the club during the 2019/2020 season.

Akintola made seven appearances and scored two goals during the campaign, which was not completed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He spent five years playing in the Turkish league, representing Adana Demirspor, Rizespor and Hatayspor.
