Tom Hanks takes swipe at MS NOW ratings while live on air
Tom Hanks mercilessly trolls MSNOW reporter at Obama Center opening
Tom Hanks made a humorous remark about MSNBC‘s viewership during a live interview with correspondent Jacob Soboroff at the grand opening of the Obama Presidential Center.
The Oscar-winning actor quipped, “What can I do for the 800 people watching MS NOW?” and later suggested adding a zero to the network’s viewership numbers.
Soboroff and MSNBC anchor Katy Tur appeared amused by Hanks’s comments, with Soboroff joking that millions were watching now that Hanks was on air.
The star-studded dedication ceremony for the Obama Presidential Center gathered Presidents Biden, Bush and Clinton, along with various performing artists.
Hanks has a history of supporting the press, including gifting espresso machines to the White House Press Corps since 2004, stating, “those poor b****es need coffee.”
