Norman Reedus has finished filming the fourth and final season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, concluding his 16-year tenure as the beloved character.
Reedus originated the role of Daryl Dixon across all 11 seasons of AMC’s flagship zombie apocalypse series, which aired from 2010 to 2022, before starring in the spin-off.
The eight-episode final season, set to premiere this autumn, will bring Dixon’s journey to a close after he found himself stranded in post-apocalyptic France.
The actor shared an Instagram post reflecting on the immense hard work and heartfelt effort put into the final season, expressing his excitement for fans to experience it.
The Daryl Dixon spin-off, which debuted in 2023, follows the character’s quest across France to uncover the mystery of his arrival and find a way back home, having washed ashore with amnesia.
