  • The Tartan Army have sent Scotland off to the World Cup in style following the victory against Curacao at Hampden Park.

Tens of thousands of supporters packed out the national stadium shortly after lunchtime on Saturday. It was the last time for fans to catch a glimpse of the team before we head off to North America for our first World Cup in 28 years.

There was a party atmosphere after the game as the national side recovered from an early scare to win 4-1 against the Caribbean side. The friendly match was organised with the hope it would help Scotland prepare for our opening World Cup match against nearby island Haiti.

The tournament is fast approaching – with that first game set to take place in Boston just two weeks today.

Here’s the best pictures of excited fans taken before and after the match.
