Tonight, Take That make a return to the stage tonight with one of their biggest live shows ever, The Circus Live.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald kick off 17 nights across the UK and Ireland starting two dates at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium, with support from Belinda Carlisle and The Script.

The tour is a reboot of their Circus Live tour in 2009 – which became the fastest UK concert sale on record when tickets were released.

Fans were queuing up to get the best view in the house from the early hours of this morning and it’s sure to be a big night ahead. Catch all the action live here.

The band are quick to celebrate their tour so far, with Gary telling the crowd: “Oh my god what an opener Southampton. It’s definitely time for us to say this not at the end but right now. Thank you all for coming and spending your Friday night with us.”

Howard then added: “We cannot belive its 2026 and we are selling out stadiums like this its incredible for us. Thank you for helping us live our dream.”

Mark told them: “Who was here first time round. And whose first Take that show is this?” The band were met by cheers before they jumped into their track Pray, folllowed by A Million Love Songs.

After a very elaborate intro, the band have emerged on stage after being shielded by balloons at the entrance. Wearing black sequinned suits, the band have burst out to hugr cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are in their seats and the standing area looks busy! Clowns are making their way around, warming up the crowds as we prepare for the Circus LIVE to begin!

St Mary’s Stadium is looking beautiful in the sun, as fans watch The Script perform. The band are the warm up performers before the huge main event, with much of the set already on display.

A big circus tent fills the centre of the stage, made out of black and red material, whilst the two smaller tents sit beside it. A hot air balloon sits high in the centre of the venue.

Fans of the band have been busy dressing up for the occasion.

Take That fans pile into St Mary’s Stadium, many of them dressed in full clown outfits in keeping with the theme. As part of the VIP package, fans are gifted orange bowler hats.

Take That’s fan base is as dedicated as ever. At least 100 people were already in the queue ahead of doors opening at 17:00 with many starting at 6am this morning.

Sporting merchandise, posters and cowboys hats – lucky concert ticket holders have been descending on St Mary’s Stadium all day with excitement at fever pitch.

Fans are blasting hits from the band’s repertoire and reminiscing of previous concerts from the Manchester lads.

The band will also be joined on stage by former Pop Idol star and Take That superfan Zoe Birkett . Zoe will be right in the action for one of the biggest numbers of the whole night – Relight My Fire. Take That’s cover of the 70s classic from Dan Hartman took them to number 1 back in 1993 and now Zoe will sing the part of the song originally made famous by Lulu, as she follows in the footsteps of other powerhouse vocalists like Beverley Knight and the late Loletta Holloway

The Circus tour begins the celebrations for the release of the band’s 10th studio album, due out later this year.

The 2009 Circus tour was known as one of the band’s biggest – and best – live shows to date with clowns, acrobats and even a 30ft mechanical elephant. It’s expected they will recreate the magic tonight with even more hits and stunts under their belt.

Take That have 12 UK number one singles and nine number one albums under their belts.
