African champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria, have opened camp ahead of their double-header international friendlies against Senegal, DAILY POST reports.
Head coach Justine Madugu named a 23-player squad for the friendlies on Sunday.
According to the itinerary released by the team’s media officer, the players are scheduled to start arriving at the camp today.
Both matches will hold at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne.
The first friendly is slated for Friday, 5 June, while the second friendly is scheduled for Monday, 8 June.
Nigeria and Senegal will use the friendlies to prepare for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations slated for Morocco in July.
The Super Falcons have been drawn in Group C with debutants Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt.
Senegal will play hosts Morocco, Algeria and Kenya in Group A.
The WAFCON 2026 finals will also serve as the qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup
The four semi-finalists will represent Africa at the global soccer fiesta next year.
