Femi Azeez will take the place of Samuel Chukwueze in Nigeria’s squad for the international friendlies against Poland, and Portugal, DAILY POST reports.
Chukwueze has been excused from both matches due to personal reasons.
The 27-year-old laid his late mother to rest in Abia State, South East , Nigeria this week.
Azeez impressed on his maiden appearance for the Super Eagles, scoring both goals in the 2-0 victory over the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles will face the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica in the final of the Unity Cup on Saturday night (today). Kick-off is 7.30pm Nigeria time.
Éric Chelle’s side will then travel to Warsaw for the friendly against Poland next week Wednesday.
The three-time African champions will later face Portugal in Lierra on Wednesday, 10 June.
