Arise Television anchor, Rufai Oseni, has tackled the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, NRS, Adedeji.

DAILY POST reports that Adedeji, speaking on Sunday Politics, a Channels Television programme, hailed the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Tinubu.

According to him, fuel subsidy would have gulped N53 trillion, while the naira-to-dollar exchange rate would have risen to N3,500 per dollar, if not for Tinubu’s intervention.

Adedeji added that monthly allocations to states rose by 530 percent to N4.5 trillion from around N700 billion.

Reacting on X on Monday, Oseni said the NRS boss should balance the argument by providing the revenue Nigerians lost to inflation, which stood at 15.91 percent in June 2026.

“If the NRS chief says subsidy would have been over N50 trillion, can he also give us the revenue Nigerians lost to inflation? To balance the argument,” he wrote on X.

Recall that Adedeji had come under fire over his claim that Tinubu treks to the office and eats once a day.
