Stephen Mangan is a British actor, comedian, presenter, and writer – but who is his famous wife?

The 58-year-old is known for playing Guy Secretan in Green Wing, Dan Moody in I’m Alan Partridge, Sean Lincoln in Episodes, Bigwig in Watership Down, and Andrew in Bliss.

Stephen also found fame playing Nathan Stern in The Split, alongside Nicola Walker, Fiona Button, Annabel Scholey, and Barry Atsma. Beyond his acting credentials, the star also hosts Artist of the Year on Sky Arts. His most recent role sees him take to the West End stage in a revival of Florian Zeller’s comedy The Truth.

Stephen is due to appear on Saturday Kitchen later today (May 30), alongside his upcoming co-star Sarah Hadland. The latest instalment of the BBC programme, hosted by Matt Tebbutt, will also feature chefs Luke Holder, Dan Mayo-Evans, Anthony Murphy, and Ravneet Gill, as well as drinks expert Carmen O’Neal.

Ahead of his Saturday Kitchen appearance, fans may be taken aback to discover that Stephen is married to a celebrated actress, reports the Express.

Stephen has been married to Cheshire-born actress Louise Delamere since 2007. The couple live in Primrose Hill, north London and have three sons together.

Louise is best recognised for her roles as Lia in the Channel 4 comedy drama No Angels and Colette Sheward in Holby City.

In a 2020 interview with the Evening Standard, Stephen revealed: “I’ve been in Primrose Hill about 30 years. I live with my lovely family – three boys and a missus. It’s a busy household. I have to do any work before school finishes, when they’ll all pour in and the chaos will begin.”

Many fans will know that Stephen shares the sofa with his strikingly similar sister, Anita, on Celebrity Gogglebox, yet few may be aware of his family connection to Irish television presenter Angela Scanlon.

The pair are third cousins once removed, a revelation that came to light on Angela’s show Ask Me Anything several years back.

Despite a flourishing and varied career, Stephen has faced considerable heartbreak in his personal life. In 1991, when he was just 22 years old, his mother received a colon cancer diagnosis and passed away just six months later.

Then in 2005, his father died of a brain tumour at the age of 63, also six months after receiving his diagnosis.

“You feel so helpless when something like that happens to someone you love. A lot of people live in denial and don’t want to think about what might happen because it’s depressing,” Stephen previously told Metro.

“I find being aware that the clock is ticking makes being alive feel more special. You can’t go around thinking you’re going to die all the time, but life is precious because there isn’t that much of it.”

He went on to say, “It’s a source of tremendous sadness to me that my parents never got to meet my children. It feels wrong, but what can you do? You have to get on with it.”

Saturday Kitchen airs every week at 10am on BBC One and iPlayer
