St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Hamilton is holding a special summer concert this Saturday, June 27.

Get along to the Auchingramont Road venue at 4pm, when the Choirs of St Mary’s will be joined by two outstanding singers from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland – baritone Findlay Peters and Tenor Rowan Gillard – for an afternoon of music by Percy Grainger.

Completing the line-up is Jonathan Smith, a talented local organist and pianist, and graduate of Glasgow University, and conductor David Hamilton.

The programme includes Grainger’s most popular composition ‘Country Gardens’ and music from the film Howard’s End. As well as other arrangements of folk songs, the choir will sing music by Weelkes and Wesley – all in all, something for everyone.

Admission to the concert, which begins at 4pm, is by donation programme (£7/£5/£1).
