A care home predator was struck off last week after sexually assaulting five female colleagues. Samantha Lee, 31, was found guilty of seven charges of sexual assault following a summary trial at Falkirk Sheriff Court in March.
Management at the care home in Larbert, Stirlingshire, launched an investigation and four other victims came forward. Lee avoided jail earlier this year but she is among a number of Scotland’s carers who have committed shameful crimes.
Here we expose carers who were expected to lead with kindness and compassion, but instead have been removed from the register this year after Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) discovered their crimes.
Creep Samantha Lee targeted her own colleagues in a twisted campaign of sexual assaults. She was found to have hit, seized and struck her victim’s breasts, nipples and buttocks during a six-month period between January 1 and July 17, 2024.

She went on trial at Falkirk Sheriff Court in March of this year. Lee, of Grangemouth, is said to have approached one victim – who’d returned to work only that day following a medical episode – her at the nurse’s station and grabbed her head with both hands and pulled it into her chest.
The woman, who said her treatment at the hands of Lee had been “traumatic”, told the court: “She pulled my head into her cleavage and shook her breasts.”
Lee also made comments about the woman’s partner’s private parts and slapped her on the bottom in the dining room in front of residents
Management launched an internal investigation which brought four further victims forward. Lee resigned her post as a carer at the home – which cares for adults aged 18 to 65 – and the police were called in. One colleague said Lee had been “hitting her boobs”.
The 51-year-old said she felt “kind of violated”. She said she was on a waiting list for a mammogram for bumps at the time.
Lee was put on a year of social work supervision and placed on the sex offenders’ register for 12 months before she was banned from the profession during a SSSC hearing on Friday, July 10.

Twisted Isaacs stabbed Keotshepile Naso Isaacs, 33, nine times in the head and neck at their home in North Berwick in the early hours of January 1, 2024.
Police were called to their home after concerned friends had received phone messages from Ms Isaacs. She could not be saved and died at the scene.

He was found guilty of her murder in September 2025, following a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh. The judge, Lady Ross, said Ms Isaacs had been found to have defensive injuries on her hands, and that she must have “suffered pain and experienced horrific fear” during the attack.
He was sentenced to a minimum of 21 years behind bars.
Last month, the Scottish Social Services Council ruled that the support worker and carer should be removed from their register. He had worked in the care sector since 2019.
In 2022, Megan Neilson performed a sex act on her disabled client in a car while at the Falkirk Wheel. Neilson, from Airdrie struck up an improper relationship with the vulnerable man and was found guilty following a trial at Hamilton Sheriff Court last year.

She was ordered to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work, was tagged for a year and put under supervision for 18 months. She was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years.
The court heard how Neilson struck up a close bond with her client, then aged 29, which led to them declaring they loved each other. Neilson repeatedly kissed and cuddled him during trips to a bowling alley and at Strathclyde Park while she later performed a sex act on him in a car at the Falkirk Wheel.
Their improper relationship came to light after they appeared hand-in-hand at his dad’s house and told him they were together. Neilson told the sickened father she would resign from her role as a support worker, but police were called in.
She was subsequently struck off by the SSSC in May this year.

Sick Cernevica, 30, admitted the killing in January following the incident at Orr’s Trust Public Park in Beith in May last year.
Kilmarnock Sheriff Court heard how, by the time officers arrived at the scene, the helpless pup was found dead. Cernevica repeatedly struck the dog, which was in her care, with her hands as was as kicking and stamping on it, biting it and seizing it by the collar.
Cernevica went on to swing the animal across a fence before going on to drag and throw it around the ground in front of horrified children.
The brute, of Kilbirnie, is currently in jail serving a three-year sentence for the depraved attack.
During a SSSC hearing in May, the details of the horrifying incident were laid bare and Cernevica was removed from the register.
A normal trip to a shopping centre turned into tragedy when disabled wheelchair user Catherine Muir, 71, fell to the bottom of an escalator.

Debbie McWhannell had been caring for Catherine who had special needs and was prone to dizziness. She lost control of Catherine’s wheelchair on an escalator at Easterhouse shopping centre in Glasgow on July 15, 2023.
McWhannell ignored a warning sign which cautioned against putting wheelchairs on the moving stairway. She held on with one hand as she attempted to take Catherine downstairs.
Catherine fell from her chair as they descended and sustained a serious jaw injury which affected her breathing. She died in hospital 11 days later after contracting pneumonia.
McWhannell was convicted of an offence under the Health and Safety at Work Act, at Glasgow Sheriff Court in June 2025 and she was tagged for six months keeping her indoors between 8pm and 9am as an “alternative to custody.”
In April this year, she was finally struck off by the SSSC following a hearing nearly three years after the event.
