Families can enjoy trips to a Monklands cinema for less this summer thanks to a temporary 15 per cent VAT reduction on child and family tickets from 20 per cent to five per cent.

The saving is available at Showcase in Bargeddie for screenings until September 1, helping families make the most of the school holidays.

Whether it’s seeing the return of Woody and Buzz in Toy Story 5 , everyone’s favourite little yellow troublemakers in Minions & Monsters or watching the latest blockbusters, there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy this summer.

The saving follows the government’s summer VAT reduction, helping families enjoy lower-cost leisure and hospitality activities throughout the holidays.

The reduced pricing applies to Showcase Cinemas’ popular Family Ticket for four people as well as individual child tickets.

Jon Dixon, UK marketing director at Showcase Cinemas, said: “The summer holidays are all about spending quality time together, and there’s no better place to do that than at the cinema.

“There’s a fantastic line-up of family films on the big screen this summer including Toy Story 5 , Minions & Monsters , Moana and Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie .

“With savings available on child and family tickets throughout the holidays, it’s the perfect time to visit your local Showcase Cinema.”
