A jobless serial sex attacker has been found guilty of two murders and a rape.
Simon Levy, 40, of Beaufoy Road, Tottenham, north London, was convicted by a jury at the Old Bailey of murdering Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 53, and Sheryl Wilkins, 39, five months apart last year.
He was also convicted of two counts of rape, assault occasioning grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and non-fatal suffocation over a brutal sex attack in January 2025, which the victim survived.
Prosecutor Tom Little KC told jurors the crimes were a series of attacks committed by a “predatory serial sexual attacker in a similar way”.
Miss Valencia-Trujillo was found dead in a largely abandoned block of flats on the Aylesbury Estate in south east London in March last year, while Miss Wilkins was discovered behind a car park wall in Tottenham, north London in August.
open image in galleryThe car park was also where Levy carried out the January rape, which left the victim unconscious with a broken collarbone.
Jurors heard that Levy was already a registered sex offender. He sexually assaulted two women in 2018 and was jailed in 2021.
After he was released in 2023, he carried on preying on women, and earlier this year was convicted of 11 counts of sexual assault in a separate trial at Inner London Crown Court.
Ten of the victims were young women who were using the Tube and London Overground, and the 11th was a prison officer assaulted while he was previously behind bars in 2022.
An Old Bailey jury reached verdicts after deliberating for 13 hours.
Levy, who wore sunglasses in court, made no reaction as the verdicts were delivered and members of the victims’ families wept.
