- The 29-year-old was diagnosed with a mild benign arrhythmia, an irregular heart rhythm that poses no significant threat to his health.
- Following the successful ablation procedure, McTominay will rest for two weeks before resuming training with the Italian club.
- He will miss Napoli’s Champions League clash against Arsenal on Wednesday, as well as upcoming Nations League fixtures at the start of Sebastien Pocognoli’s tenure as Scotland manager.
- McTominay is expected to be available again after the international break, potentially returning for Napoli’s fixture against Frosinone on 10 October.
