Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are reportedly heading to High Court to deal with their divorce. The Loose Women anchor, 66, tied the knot with former This Morning co-host Eammon, also 66, in 2010 after almost a decade together.
But the TV couple, who have 24-year-old son Jack together, called time on their marriage just over two years ago and now it’s thought that they have drafted in top lawyers to deal with their joint fortune, which is estimated to be around £10 million.
According to The Sun, Ruth instigated the court action for a so-called “financial remedy” hearing after they failed to reach an agreement regarding their wealth. The outlet also reported that case is now listed as Ruth Holmes vs Eamonn Holmes, and claimed that there will be a pre-trial review that is due to take place in the coming months.

The trial is said to have been set for November, and it’s thought that their case has already had two hearings that took place last June and in February.
Details of the proceedings are not publicly known, but, based on information that is available publicly, issues in the case could include a personal fortune of £5 million, as well as the six-bedroom Surrey home they bought in 2014 for £3.6 million, which is expected to have increased in value by now.
Last year, insiders claimed that this was the “last thing” the couple wanted to happen, with a source explaining: “A lengthy court battle is the last thing the couple wanted, but they just can’t agree. It’s very sad but they are both prepared to fight for what they feel is rightfully theirs.”
Since the split, Eamonn has begun a new relationship with therapist Katie Alexander, while Ruth has remained single. Asked how she feels two years on from their split, Ruth recently told The Mirror: “I’ve always been a very independent woman, that hasn’t really changed.

“But this is where I found myself, and I just have to get on with my life and make my own happiness and keep my career going, and look out for my son, that’s what I’m doing.
“You know, life changes, life can change from one second to the next, one hour to the next, one day to the next, nobody knows what’s going to happen in their life, but here I am, and I’m doing all right. They say time is a great healer, and that always sounds like a bit of a cliche, but I really believe it is.”
The TV star also recently revealed that she ended up in therapy following the split, and, despite her reluctance, it ended up being the “best thing” she could’ve done for herself. Speaking on the Happy Place podcast, she told host Fearne Cotton: “She said ‘I only saw the top of your head for the first three sessions,’ because I was crying so much.

“But one of the first things she said to me was ‘Your marriage is over,’ it was quite blunt. I said ‘I know,’ and she said ‘Well, until you accept that, you’re not going to find it easy to move on.’ That stuck with me. Once you accept it, and go ‘The fight’s over, isn’t it?'”
The Mirror has contacted Ruth’s representatives for comment. A representative for Eammon declined to comment.
