Former Super Eagles captain, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, has picked Argentina captain, Lionel Messi as a better player over Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Bolton Wanderers midfielder spoke while responding to a question on the ObiOne podcast.
Okocha claimed that Messi was from another planet. He, however, pointed out that Ronaldo is special and also a goalscorer.
“Messi for me. Ronaldo is special, but he’s a goalscorer like Haaland.
“Messi is on another planet. He was born to play football. I think Messi would get ill if he didn’t play football,” Okocha said.
Messi and Ronaldo dominated the football world for over a decade and won 13 Ballon d’Or awards between them.
