Remi Tinubu donates ₦5m to support Anambra farmers under RHI

First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has given ₦5m to beneficiaries of the Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Support Programme in Anambra State to support their businesses.
The money was presented to the beneficiaries on behalf of the First Lady by the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Nonye Soludo, at the Light House in Awka.
Soludo disclosed this in a statement issued by her media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe, on Monday.
She said the donation followed the warm reception given to Tinubu by beneficiaries of last year’s RHI Agricultural Support Programme during her visit to the state last Thursday.
According to the statement, the beneficiaries had presented a token of support for President Bola Tinubu and his administration ahead of the 2027 general election during the First Lady’s visit.
It said Tinubu, who described the gesture as unprecedented, decided to reciprocate by supporting the beneficiaries with ₦5m.
The statement quoted Soludo as saying,
“Following the warm reception she received from beneficiaries of last year’s ‘Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Support Programme’ during her visit to Anambra State, the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has gifted them ₦5 million to further support and strengthen their businesses.
“The beneficiaries had, during her official visit to Anambra last Thursday, presented a token of support for the President and his administration ahead of 2027.”
The Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Support Programme is aimed at supporting vulnerable households and improving access to nutritious food, particularly among vulnerable groups including nursing mothers and people facing food insecurity.
Soludo said the donation was another reminder of the value of kindness and appreciation, while thanking the First Lady for the gesture.
