Putin threatens UK over Ukraine’s ‘use of British drones’ in attacks

  • Moscow has threatened the UK with consequences following reports that Ukrainian forces used British-made drones to strike targets inside Russia for the first time.
  • Russia’s embassy in London accused Britain of deliberately escalating the Ukraine conflict and attempting to inflict maximum damage on Russia by proxy.
  • Ukraine has significantly increased its deep-strike campaign targeting Russian military industries, energy facilities, and major commercial depots to disrupt Moscow’s war effort.
  • The UK Ministry of Defence affirmed Britain’s firm commitment to equipping Ukraine for its self-defence and standing against Russian aggression.
  • The escalation coincides with heavy strikes from both sides, with long-range Ukrainian attacks killing seven people in Russia overnight and Russian strikes killing five civilians in Ukraine.
