A thug who terrorised women in their cars during a protest against immigration can be unmasked as a sword wielding domestic abuser.
Craig McNab, 43, was a key figure in protests in Falkirk in the wake of the knife horror in Belfast that sparked similar unrest across the UK.
The landscaper was pictured as part of a mob that blocked and surrounded a woman’s car, with some screaming and making obscene gestures.
Another woman reported that she was called a “rapist supporter” by the mob due to her failure to support the far-right organised demo.
But the Daily Record can today reveal McNab’s criminal past.
In 2016 McNab was drunk when he attacked his then partner and started swinging a ceremonial sword, slashing away at the bedroom door as she and her 16-year-old son cowered behind it.
In 2019 he was also convicted for drug possession.

One source contacted the Daily Record after McNab’s masked face featured on the front of our newspaper yesterday .
The source said: “Craig McNab is notorious in Falkirk for his right wing views and he is a main rabble rouser at events like this.
“He always carried a mask to cover his face because he is aware that his extreme form of demonstrating could lead to being arrested, given the way these events are now recorded.
“He loves the chaos that he causes with his mask on, which is pathetic for a grown man. He only seems to take off the mask when he ants to have a break from the bully boy tactics.”
The Daily Record’s coverage of the Falkirk protest on Tuesday captured disgraceful scenes where McNab targeted innocent female drivers during the anti-immigrant protests.
Mum of seven Sarah McCabe, 39, told us: “It was very frightening.”

Local businesswoman Cherise Williamson, an aesthetics practitioner, took to tik-tok to speak out after being left terrified by the mob at traffic lights.
She said: “I got a barrage of abuse from these big bully men.
“I was then intimidated by these men, all surrounding my window and basically telling me that I am supporting rapists. It was so, so scary.”
The Falkirk scenes unfolded at the same time as thugs marauded through Glasgow city centre, wearing black clothing and covering faces with masks, including Union Jacks.
Worshippers were forced to lock themselves in a mosque for their own safety and Police Scotland said five people were injured, including two officers. One doctor was allegedly told he would be attacked if he went to the aid of an injured victim.
The force said three officers sustained minor injuries after items were thrown at them and two police vehicles were damaged.
Video posted online also showed a man being attacked by the mob at the city’s St Enoch Square.

In Greenock a woman was arrested and charged with a hate crime amid disorder in the town on Wednesday night. Two men were also arrested and issued with fixed-penalty notices for anti-social behaviour offences.
The protests blew-up around Scotland after a video showed an assailant on a north Belfast street stabbing and slashing his victim, Stephen Ogilvie, in the face and neck, shouting in Arabic.
On Wednesday, Hadi Alodid, 30, a Sudanese refugee, appeared in Belfast magistrates court charged with attempted murder.
More and larger demonstrations have been called for Glasgow, Edinburgh and other locations for Saturday.
Gatherings are understood to be organised at high level by far right organisers then distributed via thousands of supporters in social media groups.
At McNab’s 2016 court appearance he admitted assault and behaving in a threatening manner at an address in Inchyra Place, Grangemouth when he appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court.

The court heard that he grabbed his partner by the throat and she was struggling to breathe.
She managed to break free and she and her son went into the son’s bedroom, where they saw McNab with a sword.
McNab was told to pay £200 and ordered to be of good behaviour for 12 months.
In 2019 McNab pleaded guilty to producing cannabis worth £750 at the same address.
Sheriff John Mundy ordered McNab to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work within a six month period.
