Police vehicles were seen in Crewe on Tuesday morning

Police investigating allegations of serious sexual offences as well as modern slavery and forced marriage claims have raided a number of properties.

Officers from Cheshire Police and neighbouring forces targeted three addresses in Crewe, Cheshire, in the early morning operation.

A number of police vehicles and ambulances were seen at King George V playing fields.

There were also reports roads had been closed in the Victoria Avenue area of the town near to Queens Park.
