Princess Anne has announced she will be undertaking a major overseas tour next month, travelling to both Korea and Thailand. The Princess Royal, who has long been called the hardest working member of the Royal Family, known for attending record numbers of engagements on behalf of her brother, King Charles.
Anne, along with her husband Sir Tim Laurence, will visit The Republic of Korea from Monday July 13 to Wednesday July 15, before heading to The Kingdom of Thailand from Thursday July 16 to Friday July 17. During Her Royal Highness’s visit to The Republic of Korea, The Princess Royal will attend a series of engagements to reflect and honour the breadth and strength of the UK–Republic of Korea relationship.

This will include commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Imjin River and honouring the sacrifice of British soldiers who fought during the Korean War.
Her Royal Highness’s programme will also highlight the close partnership between the UK and The Republic of Korea across industry, education and innovation, spanning maritime manufacturing, advanced technologies, research and people-to-people links.
In Thailand, Her Royal Highness’s itinerary will include a visit to a local school in Bangkok supported by Save the Children Thailand, as well as an audience with the Thai Prime Minister and Their Majesties The King and Queen.
Anne will also meet with Thai female scientists; and attend a regional health security showcase, before concluding the visit with a UK – Thailand cultural collaboration.

The Princess Royal has previously visited The Republic of Korea in 2018 for the Winter Olympics, while the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip travelled to the region in 1999.
The King hosted a State Visit for the President of the Republic of Korea in the UK in 2023, with previous State Visits of Korean Presidents to Britain also taking place in 2013 and 2004.
Princess Anne has travelled to Thailand three times previously: in 1979 and 1987, and as a companion to her parents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip for their visit in 1972.
In 2025, the Princess Royal undertook ten overseas trips. Anne started the year with a visit to South Africa in January, before heading to France and Greece in March. Then in April, she went to Türkiye before visiting Barbados in May.
Anne then travelled to Belgium, Ireland and Ukraine between July and September, before rounding out her year with a visit to Australia and Singapore in November.
The announcement of Princess Anne’s trip comes just days after her son, Peter Phillips, tied the knot with NHS nurse Harriet Sperling in a charming and intimate ceremony in Cirencester.

Many senior members of the Royal Family attended the nuptials, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, the King and Queen, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. Following the wedding ceremony at All Saints Church in Kemble, the wedding guests made their way to Princess Anne’s home of Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire for the reception.
