A senior US defense official has revealed that the Pentagon used Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot to launch missiles in Iran.
The official said that Grok was instrumental in firing over 2,000 munitions at distinct targets within 96 hours, saying that its continued operation is vital for national security.
This admission was made in a sworn statement defending Musk against an NAACP lawsuit alleging that xAI data centers are illegally polluting communities.
The Pentagon relies heavily on xAI’s Grok Gov Model and has warned that any court ruling preventing its deployment would severely impact national security operations.
The revelation comes amid ongoing concerns about AI in warfare and civilian casualties.
