Men of Oyo State Police command have recovered a vehicle stolen in the State in Gombe State.
DAILY POST gathered that the vehicle was stolen on 29 July, 2026 in Oyo State.
A suspect, identified as Daniel Chinada Obidiukwu, was arrested in connection with the crime.
Police Public Relations Officer of Oyo State Police command, Olayinka Ayanlade, in a statement made available to DAILY POST Thursday evening, explained that the suspect was tracked to Gombe State where he was arrested.
Ayanlade said, “Consequently, one Daniel Chinada Obidiukwu, male, aged 21, was apprehended in possession of the vehicle.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect allegedly stole the vehicle from Ibadan and drove it to Gombe State with the intention of selling it to an unsuspecting buyer.
“Following the suspect’s arrest, the stolen vehicle was immediately recovered and taken into police custody as an exhibit, while the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue to unravel other possible accomplices and circumstances surrounding the crime.
“Upon the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect will be charged to court in accordance with the law”.
