Speaking on the incident, he said: âMy name is Sharafa Lasisi. I am from Alamisi Unit 6. I am 55 years old. I have been to where they are supposed to verify my face, but they said the network isnât letting the verification go through.â
According to him, election officials initially advised him to return later after the issue was expected to be resolved. However, the problem persisted when he came back to the polling unit.
âThey said I should go and eat at home. I went and came back and it still didnât go through,â he added.
Lasisi urged INEC officials to intervene promptly so that he could exercise his constitutional right to vote.
âI want them to help me so I will be able to cast my vote also,â he appealed.
The incident raises concerns over technical and network challenges affecting voter accreditation in some polling units in the Osun governorship election.
