An optical illusion is leaving internet users scratching their heads, with claims that a mere two per cent of viewers can identify the concealed objects lurking within this perplexing puzzle.

Optical illusions possess a remarkable ability to challenge our minds in genuinely bewildering ways, and while some appear utterly unsolvable, the competitive nature in many of us refuses to give up until we’ve cracked the brainteaser.

The viral image, crafted by Ukrainian artist Oleg Shupliak, depicts what appears to be an ordinary sketch portraying a woman with cascading hair, according to the Daily Star.

Yet on closer examination, there are four women concealed in plain sight – though locating them all is being described as virtually impossible for most viewers.

Initially, the illustration presents a sketch of a woman sporting voluminous hair and an elegant flowing gown – grinning while chatting on her phone.

Spotting the first woman is fairly straightforward at first, but there are actually three additional women lurking somewhere within the picture that prove considerably harder to detect.

On Oleg’s website, he explains he created a ‘symbolic composition’ to ‘improve the popular topic’ of optical illusions.

The second woman can be spotted near the main woman’s right hand close to her cheek. You may well have initially mistaken her for a mobile phone.

Nevertheless, locating the third woman demands greater concentration. You’ll find her when examining the tiny woman positioned on her arm. To spot the third woman, you’ll need to examine the side profile, which explains why she’s trickier to identify initially.

Fortunately, the fourth and final woman is more straightforward to find.

You’ll see a pair of lips positioned on the stomach of the first woman. This detail belongs to the fourth woman, as the complete picture itself forms a female figure.
