The 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season will kick-off on Friday, 28 August, DAILY POST reports.

The new season has also been fixed to end on May 30, 2027.

Alongside league fixtures, the calendar accommodates the President Federation Cup, with the state playoffs scheduled for early February 2027.

The first half of the campaign will conclude with Matchday 19 in December before the league observes a mid-season break from December 23 to January 6.

The second transfer window will open throughout January 2027 before league action resumes.

Rangers International won the title for the ninth time last season.
