1. The deceased, a 100-level Cyber Security student and member of the Man O’ War organisation in FUTO, was allegedly beaten by some members of the group after being accused of stealing N13,500.
9. A Nigerian-born Roman Catholic priest, Anthony Odiong, has been convicted by a jury in Texas, United States, for sexually assaulting women under his spiritual care. Odiong, 57, was found guilty on one count of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of second-degree sexual assault after a trial in Waco, Texas.

The National Executive Committee of the African Democratic Congress has called for the immediate release of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, describing him as a “prisoner of conscience.” The demand formed part of the resolutions reached at the party’s 101st National Executive Committee meeting held in Abuja on Saturday, where party leaders also ratified the outcome of its recent primary elections and approved major organisational changes ahead of the 2027 general elections.
