Iran and Israel exchanged fresh attacks and fighting intensified in Lebanon, even as US President Donald Trump remarked that Israel had no choice but to accept a potential deal after walking out of an interview on camera.

Here are the key developments:

Israel: missiles fired from Iran

Iran launched a coordinated barrage of ballistic missiles towards Israel, according to the Israel Defence Forces. It marked the first direct confrontation between the two nations since an April ceasefire.Advertisement

Air raid sirens blared across central and northern Israel, sending millions of residents into fortified shelters as Israel activated its air defence network to successfully intercept the incoming threats.

Addressing the press, Effie Defrin, spokesman for the Israeli army, described the strikes as a “grave mistake” by Iran.
