Netanyahu responds to Trump calling him ‘crazy’ during phone call

Trump says ‘there would be no Israel’ if it weren’t for him
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sat down with CNBC for an interview in Israel and discussed his relationship with Donald Trump, global oil supply, and Israel’s investment appeal.
  • Trump said on a podcast that “there would be no Israel” without him and denied being “tricked” into the ongoing conflict with Iran. Trump also said he was “perturbed” by Netanyahu “constantly fighting with Lebanon” and told him, “Bibi, you’ve got to stop this. You’ve got to stop it.”
  • Netanyahu admitted to having “tactical disagreements” with Donald Trump, addressing reports that Trump had called him “crazy” in a phone call.
  • He clarified that despite these occasional disagreements, they “agree on the main things,” including preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
  • “Sometimes we have, as in the best of families, you have these tactical disagreements,” he said. But “we always find a way to work them out, and we do so as great friends. We can disagree in the morning,” and find common ground by the afternoon, he said.
