Motive remains unclear after 32-year-old is accused of murdering her two best friends

  • Prosecutors stated that the victims, Ann Mary Mathew and Anjana Hari, were best friends with the accused killer, though a motive has not been publicly identified.
  • The fatal attacks took place 90 minutes apart on August 28, with Mathew found strangled and stabbed in San Jose and Hari struck by a vehicle in Milpitas.
  • Police arrested Baby near the Milpitas scene covered in blood, after she allegedly attempted to flee in her vehicle.
  • Baby is being held without bail and is scheduled to enter a plea in court on November 17.
