Having been replaced at the top of FIFA’s world rankings by Argentina and slipped below second-placed Spain, France will attempt to get their preparations for the World Cup finals back on track with a friendly against Northern Ireland.

Didier Deschamps’ men, who surprisingly lost 2-1 to Ivory Coast in Nantes on Thursday, will play their final warm-up fixture against Michael O’Neill’s side in Lille, a game which will be screened live on BBC Two Northern Ireland and BBC Three from 7.30pm.

England wrapped up a 115-run first Test victory over New Zealand on Sunday without the need for Monday’s fifth day, despite the rain which repeatedly soaked Lord’s.

However, there is still international cricket on offer on Monday as West Indies and Sri Lanka go head-to-head in the third one-day international in Kingston, with the tourists leading 1-0. Coverage on TNT Sports 1 starts at 8pm.

Elsewhere, Afghanistan will attempt to scrap their way back into their one-off Test against India in New Chandigarh after they were reduced to 113 for five in their first innings at the end of day two, some 451 runs adrift. Day three is live on TNT Sports 1 from 5am.

England boss Sarina Wiegman will face the media at 11.30am ahead of Tuesday evening’s final World Cup qualifier against Ukraine still smarting from Friday’s 4-0 defeat in Spain.

A draw in Mallorca would have left Wiegman’s side in pole position to top Group A3, but ultimately they emerged on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline which left them licking their wounds.

Scotland’s men continue their preparations for the World Cup finals with training and a press conference in Charlotte, North Carolina at 3pm and 5.30pm respectively.

On the domestic cricket front, Surrey and Hampshire head into day two of their Rothesay County Championship clash at the Oval with coverage available on Surrey’s official YouTube channel from 11am.
