Mike Myers has finally confirmed that a fourth Austin Powers film is on the way, ending years of speculation.
The comedian, who plays both the titular secret agent and antagonist Dr Evil, gave a definitive “yes” during an appearance on Trevor Noah’s World Cup Watch Party YouTube series.
Myers had previously expressed interest in a new film focused more heavily on his character Dr Evil.
The last film in the popular comedy franchise, Austin Powers in Goldmember, was released over 20 years ago, in 2002.
The film franchise has grossed over half a billion worldwide, and Myers recently reprised his role as Dr Evil in a Verizon commercial.
