Metallica is collaborating with UK blood services to encourage their fanbase to donate blood and plasma during their upcoming tour.
The initiative involves England’s NHS Blood and Transplant, the Welsh Blood Service and the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service.
The band will be playing at Glasgow’s Hampden Park, Principality Stadium in Cardiff in late June, and London Stadium in early July.
Metallica stated their aim is to give back to the communities that welcome them and raise awareness for the constant need for blood donations.
Blood donations are vital for supporting trauma victims, cancer patients, new mothers and individuals with long-term conditions, with each donation potentially saving up to three lives.
