Messi set to buy Spanish football club

Inter Miami captain, Lionel Messi, has reached an agreement in principle to buy Spanish second-tier outfit CD Eldense.

According to Marca, Messi will acquire 100 per cent of the club’s shares.

CD Eldense currently play in the Spanish Segunda Division.

It is understood that Messi’s takeover will not have any third-party involvement once the due diligence is completed.

The deal is now merely awaiting formal ratification from Spain’s Higher Sports Council, CSD, in the coming days.
