Meghan Markle may be ready to dust off her acting chops.
The Suits alum, 45, is in early talks to star in season 3 of Guy Richie’s Netflix series, The Gentlemen, Us has learned from a source as she prepares for a potential acting return amid her family’s surprising move back to Britain.
Deadline was first to report the news of her prospective role based in the U.K.
According to the report, nothing is set in stone, as The Gentlemen has not yet been officially renewed for another season. Season 2 is set to premiere on September 3, and it’s unclear what character Markle would play in the gritty crime-drama.
Starring Theo James, Kaya Scodelario and Daniel Ings, the show follows main character Eddie (James) as he makes the shocking transition from duke to drug baron when he inherits a weed empire — and partners with a criminal dynasty that has its own agenda.
The opportunity could be a good fit, as Markle and husband Prince Harry signed a major deal with Netflix in 2020 to create documentaries, films, scripted shows and more for the streaming giant through a company that has since been named Archewell Productions.
The pair teamed up for their Harry & Meghan docuseries, as well as the documentaries Live to Lead, Heart of Invictus and Polo. Markle also gave fans a more personal look at her home life through her lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan.

Meghan had a starring role in Suits as Rachel Zane when she crossed paths with Harry, 41, back in 2016.
She filmed her last episode in late November 2017, noting in a statement that she was leaving acting behind, telling the BBC, “I don’t see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change. It’s a new chapter.”
Following highly publicized drama with the royal family that evolved into a security dispute between Harry and his father, King Charles III, Us confirmed earlier this week that Markle and Harry are moving back across the pond six years after leaving the U.K. and stepping down from their senior duties in 2020. (The couple noted at the time they were looking forward to becoming financially independent and raising their kids in a more healing environment.)

Harry has since expressed his desire to mend his relationship with the royal family amid Charles’ battle with an undisclosed form of cancer.
The Spare author and Meghan are now in the process of relocating their children to the U.K. for an extended period starting this month. The pair’s son, Prince Archie, 7, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, 5, are scheduled to begin school in September.
“Harry is not as happy in the U.S. as he is in the U.K.,” a source exclusively told Us. “They aim to be somewhere outside of London, not in, like, the city proper.”
