A 21-year-old man has been seriously injured after a late-night ‘stabbing’ in Perth city centre.
Emergency services were called to Kinnoull Street at around 10.45pm on Saturday, May 23, following reports of an assault.
The victim was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment to serious injuries.
A significant police presence remained in the area following the attack, with forensic officers seen examining the scene, taking photographs and gathering items from the road as evidence.
Part of the pavement on Perth High Street was cordoned off, while Kinnoull Street remained closed between High Street and Mill Street on Sunday morning.
Police Scotland said enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
A spokesperson said: “Around 10.45pm on Saturday, 23 May, we received a report of an assault in the Kinnoull Street area of Perth.

“Emergency services attended, and a 21-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee with a serious injury.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
