Man City vs Crystal Palace live
Manchester City are looking to close the gap on title rivals Arsenal as they host Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
City set down the gauntlet for the Gunners on Saturday with their 3-0 win over Brentford, but Mikel Arteta’s side extended their lead at the top to five points after their dramatic victory at West Ham.
Palace, meanwhile, are laser-focused on their Europa Conference League final in a fortnight’s time but will be looking to finish their domestic season on a high. They drew 2-2 to Everton on Sunday and Oliver Glasner could revert back to his strongest XI for this clash.
Despite struggling against Palace in previous years, City were impressive in a comprehensive 3-0 win at Selhurst Park last time out in December, with Erling Haaland on the scoresheet twice.
Good evening
Hello and welcome to The Independent’s live coverage of tonight’s Premier League match between Manchester City and Crystal Palace.
Pep Guardiola’s side host the Eagles knowing that they likely need to win all of their remaining games in order to have a chance of winning the title, with another sli-up this evening meaning Arsenal could win the title as early as this coming Monday.
The 3-3 draw with Everton may well have handed Arsenal the title, but plenty can still happen with a few games to go, and all City can do is win all their remaining games to put themselves in with a chance on the final day.
We’ll have all the latest build-up, team news and updates from the Etihad right here.
