A man has appeared in court for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl at a football pitch in Oban.
The incident happened at playing fields on Mossfield Avenue in the town at around 11:15pm on Saturday, July 25.
Police confirmed a 25-year-old man was subsequently arrested and charged in relation.
A report was also to have been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
Cameron Laird made no plea when he appeared in private at Dumbarton Sheriff Court earlier today, reports the BBC.
He was granted bail and his next appearance is to be confirmed.
