  • A man in his 60s from Stockport has admitted to drugging and raping his wife without her knowledge over a 20-year period between 2004 and 2025.
  • Appearing at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court, the defendant pleaded guilty to a further 45 charges, bringing his total number of admitted offences against his wife to 60.
  • The defendant cannot be publicly identified in order to protect the legal anonymity of the victim.
  • Twelve co-defendants in the case have denied various allegations involving the same woman, with a jury sworn in to hear the trial.
