Man, 46, arrested after 80-year-old dies after burglary in London
- Police have arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of murder and aggravated burglary following the death of a 75-year-old woman in north London.
- Rose Smith passed away in hospital 24 hours after an aggravated burglary at a property in Tollington Park, Finsbury Park, on 11 August.
- An 81-year-old man was also taken to hospital for assessment following the incident and was discharged the next day.
- Ms Smith’s family paid tribute to the great-grandmother, describing her as a truly wonderful, outgoing woman who was the life and soul of every party.
- Detective Chief Inspector Ben Massink has urged anyone with information or doorbell footage to contact the police.
