Lorraine Kelly is ready to cheer on the Scotland football team in their game against Morocco as she shares a video from Gillette Stadium in Boston. As the team gets ready to play their second group stage game, the Scottish presenter admits her nerves are “shredded”.

The 66-year-old caught a flight to Massachusetts straight after her talk show slot on Wednesday morning (June 16). While the star has admitted to being nervous about the game, she has been seen to be getting involved in all of the Tartan Army celebrations ahead of the match.

With kick-off only minutes away, Lorraine took to Instagram to share a video from her seat in the Boston stadium. Adding a caption, she wrote: “We made it!!! Nerves are shredded but we are here. Come on SCOTLAND!!!”

Other Scotland supporters have also shared their support in the comment section of the video, as one person said: “Can you hear us all back here in Scotland. We have absolutely everything crossed for them!”

While another highlighted the kindness of the Tartan Army, adding: “My son there too. Was on his own in Boston before Camp America and some kind members of tartan army bought him a ticket. We’re blown away. Cmon the laddies.”

Throughout the day, Lorraine has been popping up around Boston and getting a feel for the bond that is forming between the Scots and Americans.

Speaking to STV Sport, she shared that the experience has been “emotional and brilliant” despite having only been in the city for a few days.

She added: “I’ve never been more proud to be Scottish honestly, and everybody in Boston just wants us to stay. They don’t want us to go away.”

However, Lorraine’s travels to the stadium may have been a bit peculiar, as she admitted that it is very hard to get to the stadium.

Sharing her interview with Heart Scotland on social media, she explained: “It’s very difficult to get to the stadium. You can get there but the trains are full. The buses are full.”

While one fan begged her to film the experience, another praised: “Lorraine can blag her way in anywhere.”
