The Kano chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced the screening of aspirants seeking the party’s tickets to contest seats in the Kano State House of Assembly ahead of the primary elections.

This was contained in a statement shared by Yusuf Yahuza from the Office of the APC State Organising Secretary on May 11, 2026, via his Facebook page.

According to the statement, “The exercise, which began today, reflects the party’s commitment to transparency, fairness, and internal democracy in the process of selecting credible and competent candidates to represent the APC across various constituencies in Kano State.”

The party said it remains committed to producing leaders who are focused on the people and capable of contributing to legislative development and democratic governance in the state.

The APC also urged all aspirants and supporters to remain peaceful and united and to demonstrate sportsmanship throughout the primary election process.
