Justin Bieber ‘in talks’ to appear at World Cup final show

USA players celebrate World Cup win over Bosnia
  • The Fifa World Cup final on 19 July at the New York-New Jersey Stadium is set to feature a star-studded halftime show, with Madonna, Shakira, and K-pop group BTS already confirmed to perform.
  • Coldplay frontman Chris Martin curated the landmark performance, which was initially announced in May via a social media video featuring characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets.
  • TMZ has reported that Justin Bieber is currently in active discussions to join the impressive lineup for the final’s halftime show, though Fifa and Bieber’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
  • Bieber’s potential appearance follows his recent return to live performances after a four-year hiatus to prioritise his health, including a divisive Coachella set and a private performance at the World Cup opening ceremony.
  • The unprecedented spectacle is expected to extend beyond the usual 15-minute halftime interval and supports the Fifa Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aiming to raise $100m for education and football access for children globally.
