JK Rowling and Nicola Sturgeon reignite long-running feud
- Former Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon claimed that JK Rowling is “obsessed” with her, following the Harry Potter author’s post on X describing the politician as a “world-class misogynist”.
- Sturgeon said that she is not “at war” with Rowling, but that Rowling “seems to be at war” with her, particularly over gender issues and Scottish independence.
- She also criticised former SNP MP Joanna Cherry KC, calling her recently released book “s***”, despite adding that she has not read it.
- Sturgeon revealed she has not spoken to her estranged husband, Peter Murrell, since he was jailed for embezzling over £400,000 from the SNP.
- She said that Murrell lied to her until the day he pleaded guilty and said that she will not visit him in prison.
