Jesse Solomon set the record straight after former Summer House costar West Wilson hinted that they’d reconciled.
On Thursday, July 23, West, 31, shared more than a dozen images of himself hanging out with friends, including the first official social media photo of himself with girlfriend Amanda Batula. The photo dump also includes a shot of Jesse, 33, with a big smile on his face as he sits with West on a sofa while Amanda is seemingly visible in the background.
West offered no context on where or when the photo was taken — though Jesse later clarified to a fan that this was not a new picture, per Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea.
“This is an old photo [from] before their statement,” Jesse replied on a fan’s account.
Jesse was referring to the joint statement that West and Amanda, 35, released on March 31 to confirm they were dating. At the time, Amanda was just two months removed from announcing her separation from estranged husband Kyle Cooke whereas West previously dated Amanda’s former BFF Ciara Miller.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” they wrote. “It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
Their statement went on, “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
“As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling,” they concluded. “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
The revelation left Amanda and West on the outs with their Summer House costars, leading to an intense grilling in three epic season 10 reunion episodes. In the wake of the reunion, Us confirmed Amanda and West were both leaving Summer House. (Amanda continues to star on season 1 of Summer House spinoff In the City.)
Jesse has spoken about the fractured nature of his friendship with West — and recently hinted that he is focused on his own romantic prospects since West will not be returning to the show.

Meanwhile, Us exclusively confirmed via multiple sources on Wednesday, July 22, that Amanda is not pregnant. West sparked speculation by sharing a video of Amanda shopping for jars of pickles and tubs of ice-cream — two common pregnancy cravings.
“Amanda isn’t pregnant but she wants to have kids with West in the near future,” an insider told Us. “Which is why the cast is still mad at her because it seems she had these intentions all along.”
Us reached out to representatives for both Amanda and West for comment at the time.
