Actress Jenny Mollen is breaking down the plastic surgery procedure she had to fix her “uneven vagina.”
The Angel alum, 46, told Page Six in an interview published on Friday, May 8, that she decided “on a whim” to have a vaginoplasty, a.k.a. posterior colporrhaphy, which reconstructs or repairs the vagina “due to damage from medical conditions, injury or other factors,” according to the Cleveland Clinic. It is also used to “tighten the vagina,” according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
“But then I had to commit to the bit,” Mollen said of getting the procedure during a spa trip to Austria with friends, calling the surgery “insane.”
Sharing insight into why she wanted the vaginoplasty, Mollen continued, “I noticed, ‘Why is everyone’s vagina so even?’”
Mollen previously teased the procedure via Instagram on Thursday, May 7.
“We’re going to Dr. Sassoon, we’re going to my OB,” she said in the clip. “My vagina lips are, like, not the same length. I just basically want to make the one that’s there, maybe I’m gonna, like, lop it off.”
The Girls alum added, “I just want to have a really cute, basic vagina.”
Mollen admitted that after seeing other women’s lady parts in Austria, she felt “somewhat insecure.”
“It’s just weird. I don’t want to be unique in that way,” she continued.
Mollen added that she asked her sister and mom to send photos of their vaginas so that she could see what they looked like.
In the exam room, her doctor told her that she “definitely” has a size difference in her labia but reassured her that this is not “abnormal” and it’s “just the way you were born.”
The video then showed Mollen heading into surgery.
“Before and after pics on my substack… sign up with the link in bio,” the Live Fast Die Hot author wrote in the caption.
The vaginoplasty is popular among celebrities, as Jada Pinkett Smith, Kim Zolciak and Brandi Glanville have previously admitted to having the procedure.

Mollen, who is married to actor Jason Briggs, previously revealed that she had a breast lift, chin liposuction and a fat transfer from her knee to her under-eye area. She has also been candid about using Botox, fillers and tightening lasers.
In 2023, Mollen shared her perspective on plastic surgery and aging in a personal essay.
“As the people around us start looking more and more like their iPhone Memojis, perhaps the biggest act of rebellion is to do nothing. But I’m too big a narcissist for that. What we need as a culture is group therapy and transparency, people talking about how maddening it feels to be out of control,” she wrote. “We need to fill our world with sticky notes reminding us what is real. Regardless of your current age, you are never going to be younger than you are right now. See, you just aged a second. So stop deleting pictures of yourself that you don’t like, because 10 years from now, even a bad pic of you is a good one. And while you’re at it, stop beating yourself up for being human. Life is happening. And unlike your forehead, you can’t make it stand still.”
