Amazon founder Jeff Bezos proposed moving all polluting industries to the Moon to protect Earth and accelerate economic growth.
Bezos envisions Earth returning to its pre-industrial state, with the Moon serving as a resource for industrial expansion, starting with data centers for artificial intelligence.
Unlike many tech leaders, Bezos believes AI will create labor shortages due to increased demand for human workers, rather than mass job losses.
His company, Blue Origin, has proposed building a network of over 50,000 satellites to support AI workloads in space.
Blue Origin secured significant NASA contracts for lunar missions, including the Artemis program and rover delivery, but recently experienced a setback with a New Glenn rocket explosion during testing.
