With summer nearly here, many people are striving to get into the finest shape possible to feel confident in the heat. It’s commonly understood that protein is extremely advantageous for weight loss because it influences several crucial biological mechanisms of body weight, including appetite control, metabolic rate, and muscle retention.
Clinical research shows that boosting your protein consumption can result in long-term weight control and a decrease in overall body fat. Despite this, some individuals find it challenging to consume sufficient protein in their daily meals. Many people avoid meat nowadays, or discover that it’s too costly to keep purchasing.
However, I’ve discovered a brilliant meat-free treat which delivers a massive 15g of protein to your diet.

The new Quorn Protein Bites are a freshly introduced selection of ready-to-eat, meat-free bites created especially for the “food-to-go” and chilled snacking market.
The bite-sized, vegetarian chicken treats are produced using Quorn’s sustainable mycoprotein and are available in two main new varieties: Sweet Chilli and Roasted, or you can also purchase Cocktail Sausage Bites.
The individual packets contain roughly 100 calories per bag. Along with being rich in protein, they’re also minimal in saturated fat.

I’m not a vegetarian myself, however I frequently find myself reducing meat consumption these days. One motivation for this is to attempt to lower costs, as we all recognise how pricey it can be now, and the second motivation is to attempt to live more sustainably. That said, I do enjoy incorporating plenty of protein into my meals, so Quorn fits the bill perfectly.
I must confess that I already purchase Quorn nuggets rather than traditional chicken nuggets because I find them tastier, so I was keen to sample these new bites.
Some might worry about an artificial taste, but the bites could easily convince any meat-lover they’re eating chicken, thanks to the flavour and ‘meaty’ consistency.
The Sweet Chilli bites arrive covered in a zesty, sweet coating that’s got just the right kick, while the Roasted bites deliver a hearty and flavourful roasted chicken-style taste that’s certainly satisfying.
