The Israeli military said it has killed Asma Kamal Shehadeh Abu Tim, whom it identified as a cell commander in Hamas’ military wing.
In a statement posted on its official X account on Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces, IDF, alleged that Abu Tim participated in the October 7, 2023, attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz and was involved in the abduction of Nurit Cooper, Amiram Cooper and Alexander Dancyg.
The IDF further claimed that Abu Tim played a role in planning and advancing attacks targeting Israeli troops and civilians.
It added that Abu Tim “infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7 massacre and took part in the abduction of Nurit Cooper, Amiram Cooper and Alexander Dancyg. Additionally, he advanced terror attacks targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians.”
IDF wrote: “ELIMINATED: Asma Kamal Shehadeh Abu Tim, a cell commander in Hamas’ military wing.
“Abu Tim infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7 massacre & took part in the abduction of Nurit Cooper, Amiram Cooper & Alexander Dancyg. Additionally, he advanced terror attacks targeting IDF troops & Israeli civilians,” the military said.
Hamas had not commented on the claim as of the time of filing this report.
