It’s already been called the “showbiz wedding of the year” so far, and Dua Lipa certainly pulled out all the stops for her star-studded wedding to actor Callum Turner.
The Levitating singer, 30, initially tied the knot with Callum, 36, in a legal ceremony that took place in London last weekend, but this was just for family and friends and was kept secret until after it had all taken place.
Then, from June 5 to 7, the newlyweds threw a spectacular three-day wedding in Sicily, Italy in which a host of fellow celebrities attended, including the likes of Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, Tove Lo, and legendary fashion icon Donatella Versace. Music legend Elton John, whom Dua teamed up with for the track Cold Heart, is also said to have played the piano and performed at the event.
Anonio Rini, from Palermo Council’s tourism department, said: “For us, having Dua Lipa’s wedding here is a great honour, and the welcome they will receive will promote the city on the international stage. Several international artists will be arriving in Palermo for the wedding, and this is a great return for the city.”
Here, The Mirror takes a look at everything that went on across the glamorous weekend.

While both were described as white and floor length, the first came with a train but the second allowed her to dance at the reception. Both dresses were described as “glittering,” according to The Sun. As the big day turned to night, the evening was split into three moments: ceremony in the courtyard, a dinner, followed by an outdoor DJ set by four huge names on the music scene.

Every effort was made to keep security tight at the hotly-anticipated event. A ring of steel was been thrown up around the villa, which was made famous by the TV show White Lotus, as metal barriers were put up on side roads leading to the venue.
In addition, a no drone fly zone had been set up and the only way of seeing the couple and their guests is when arriving cars slow down to enter the grand metal gates.

Despite this, sources have said that security had to step in and jam the signal from two drones that had been flown over the party. Whilst the situation was reportedly dealt with, it’s thought that the incident caused a security scare for the A-list guests.

All great showbiz weddings come with a celebrity-filled guest list, and Dua’s wedding was no exception. Mark Ronson, Elton John and Charli XCX were just some of the A-list name in attendance, and it’s thought that some attendees signed signed non-disclosure agreements in a bid to protect privacy. According to reports, guests arrived in style, all pulling up in chauffeur-driven cars and were served wine and popcorn upon arrival as they waited for the service to begin.

Dua first teamed up with Sir Elton John on the track Cold Heart, which was released in 2021 and the pair have remained firm friends ever since. The Rocketman legend sat at the piano to perform Your Song at the ceremony, but it’s thought that the star, who has endured a litany of sight issues in recent times, needed help. A source said: “He had a person on each arm to guide him because he couldn’t see but he played the piano so well.”

Thanks to her major pop career, which has seen her win a BRIT Award and sell out Wembley Stadium, Dua has a reported net worth of £150million, which clearly gave her free rein over how to celebrate her big day. Reports claimed that has paid £5,000 to local residents to compensate those who live in apartments overlooking areas where there will be extra parking for the wedding, but Dua really splashed the cash when it came to the ins and outs of the whole day.
